1710 - Antique Master Print, titled: 'Facciale della volta di una camera [.].' - For seeing her bathe, Actaeon is changed into a stag by the Goddess Diana accompanied by two nymphs. Description: From a set of depictions of frescoes. Ref: Le Bl. 1. IconClass 97C1.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Antonio Bresciani' after 'Girolamo Mazzola'. Antonio Bresciani (ca. 1710) worked in Parma. Girolamo Mazzola, called Parmigiannino (1503-1540) was a Italian painter. He was one of the early mannerist artists. Engraving on laid paper. Anonymous. Good, given age. Large margins, brown stain in the impression. Soiling and some damp staining, mostly in margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling.
