Krätzschmer, Leipzig), 3-17, [i] (blank) pp. Title lithographed; music engraved. Publisher's catalogue to verso of lower wrapper. Fr. Hofmeister listed in imprint at Leipzig agent. With printed dedication to Professor Carl Pichler, Vienna, to head of title. Handstamps of J. Rieter-Biedermann, Leipzig, and Schott, Rotterdam, to foot of title. Illegible signatures to upper right corner of title and p. 3. Occasional markup in pencil.Wrappers laid down and somewhat worn and soiled, with small label pasted to upper. Slightly foxed. First Edition, probable first issue. Hofmeister's name was deleted from the imprint subsequent to the opening of Rieter-Biedermann's Leipzig branch in 1862.The present Heft I contains the first two numbers: "Weihnachtsabend" (author of text not identified) and "Die Nymphen im Rhein" (C.O.
