Faber and Faber, London, United Kingdom 2001 - A fine first edition, first printing, first impression of NORTH, a book of poetry by Seamus Heaney, published by Faber and Faber, in soft covers in 2001 in London. The fine - as new, unread and in pristine condition ¿ soft back book has blue card covers, with titles in black and white on the front cover & spine. The tight, bright book has no bumps, marks or writing over its 68 pages, which are in excellent condition. The copyright page shows first published in Great Britain in 1975, copyright Seamus Heaney, 1996, with this paperback edition published in 2001. The front cover has only the titles in black and white, with the price in sterling on the front cover fold in wrapper; the back cover is plain apart from an ISBN panel in white. This is Heaney¿s fourth book of poetry since Death of a Naturalist in 1966 and is regarded as an outstanding achievement his best book to date, winning the 1976 W.H. Smith Annual Literary Award. Heaney won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1995. The book is in as new condition. Photos of this book are available on my AbeBooks website.
