San Francisco: John Henry Nash, 1932. Copyright date 1932, first edition, This decorative hardcover first edition volume was published in 1932. The blue marbled boards are attached by a leather spine cover embossed with gold lettering and enclosed by a decorative slipcase. The text is about the history and founding of San Francisco and is complete with detailed illustrations and facsimiles of historical documents. Each chapter has an illustrated head-piece and there are in-text illustrations throughout. There are very slight indications of shelfwear on the edges of this volume. The slipcase has rubbed edges and a small partial crack in its base. There is some minor soiling on the bottom of the spine cover. The front endpaper features a bookplate and there are some glue markings on its opposite page along with slight pencil marks. There are minor indications of age toning on the pages though the text and illustrations are vivid, clear, and legible throughout. Text and illustrations are bright and clean, binding is secure, a solid scarce history.. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/very Good. 4to - over 9" x 12" Tall. scarce History.
