Signed by Langston Hughes. An anti-segregation pamphlet from the NAACP, the text of which cites the lines by Langston Hughes: "Negroes / Sweet and docile, / Meek, humble and kind: / Beware the day / They change their minds!" Hughes has signed his name beneath the poem in this copy.
