[Boston: The Recorder], 1823. Very Good. First edition. 14pp. Octavo. Untrimmed. Light toning to the title page, partially split along the folds, very good. Signed by Rev. Charles Lowell, the father of James Russell Lowell. A scarce ephemeral pamphlet printing a "Proposal of the Proprietor, for the benefit of the American Education Society, and the improvement of the Recorder," a weekly religious magazine published in Boston dated Dec. 31, 1822. Includes a resolution of the Directors of the American Education Society approving the proposal, dated Jan. 8, 1823. OCLC locates nine copies. Sabin 104503.
