Printed for the author by Wm & Geo North, 1805, hardback, Book Condition: Good. hardback, quarto, two volumes in three books and bound in calf, volume I published in 1805, volume II in 1809, boards worn, scuffed and rubbed with sizable loss to leather to extremities and darkened at edges possibly due to exposure to damp or fire, recased with new calf spines skilfully laid down to all three books with raised bands and lettered gilt on red to two compartments.Internally however a very good set, foxing to title pages and scattered more lightly in text, two folding engraved maps, one of which exhibits a panoramic view. Twenty -eight engraved plates including a map, 3 engraved armorial plates with 85 hand-coloured coats -of-arms, subscriber lists in volumes I & II. A manuscript note tipped in at page 91 by George Ormerod (author of History of Cheshire) and a restoration appeal pamphlet of about 1873 for Brecon Cathedral loosely inserted. owing to weight a request for additional postage might be made if ordered from certain overseas locations, Book
