Original pictorial wrappers, cord-bound; pp. [64], map inside front cover, imprint inside rear cover, illustrated throughout after photographs; apart from minor wear to lower cover, near-fine. ~b~First edition, very rare.~i~ This is a Japanese propaganda documentation of the January 28 'incident', the Japanese atttack on Shanghai and surrounding Chinese teeritory, which, according to Barbara Tuchmann, included the first terror bombing of a civilian population in history.
