The rare, just identified second edition of Coke's exhaustive examination of English courts, comprising the fourth (and last) part of his famed Institutes, treating of King's Bench, Common Pleas, Chancery, Star Chamber and several dozen other courts. Contemporary blind ruled sheep, quite worn, rebacked, some browning, final blanks quite chipped, yet a sturdy copy; with the frontispiece portrait. Printed by M. Flesher, for W. Lee, and D. Pakeman, London, 1648.
