Longmans, Green & Co, London & New York 1918 - 2 Volumes, Volume I; Conception, Judgment And Inference, 445pp., Volume II; Method, Science and Certitude, 359pp. Green cloth. Volume I is INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR on the front endpaper (see attached photo). Volume I is ACCEPTABLE, cracking inside front hinge, shelfwear, rubbing to corners and head and tail, some margin notes, most in pencil. Volume II is NEAR VERY GOOD; clean text, light rubbing to extremities, yellowing to both free endpapers, clean text. Both volumes have a musty odor and name of former owner on front endpaper. Peter Coffey was an Irish Roman Catholic priest and Neoscholastic philosopher. He studied for his doctorate at the University of Louvain. He was Professor of Logic and Metaphysics at Maynooth College from 1902 until his death. In his time, Coffey was considered one of the foremost Catholic intellectuals in Ireland Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall [Attributes: Signed Copy; Hard Cover]
