Watermark: coat of arms Description: State: First state of 2. Ref: Hollstein 595. Provenance: L. A. de Vries (not in Lugt). Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Crispijn de Passe I' after own design. Crispijn / Crispyn de Passe (Dutch; 1565-1637) was a very active printmaker. He started engraving in Antwerp and was later active in Cologne and Utrecht. Being highly active he and his family produced a large amount of prints, including a group of very finely engraved portraits. Condition: Very good, given age. Ample margins, tear in left margin, not affecting the print. A small stain in the top margin and one in the right margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. Storage location: TPCLA-C11-05 The overall size is ca. 7.2 x 9.6 inch. The image size is ca. 4.3 x 5.9 inch. The overall size is ca. 18.2 x 24.3 cm. The image size is ca. 10.8 x 15 cm.
