The fragment of a Book of Hours from the 16th century consists of one of the most beautiful landscape cycles and is a milestone of Flemish book illustration. Simon Bening revolutionized the pictorial language used in calendar miniatures by giving them two pages for each month as well as treating them as individual scenes. Number 460 of a limited edition of 980 copies. Facsimile bound in purple velvet, decorated with twelve rosettes, corner-fittings and clasps from massive sterling silver. The headband is sewn by hand. All 60 pages of the Flemish Calendar have been reproduced in the original format of 14.0 x 10.4 cm. + commentary volume in uniform velvet binding.482 pp., 15 x 11 cm. Text in German, English and French. Loosely added is a stapled text booklet: Die Gebete, Transkription und Übersetzung, 10 pp. - 21 × 15 cm (with some creases). .
