The Novels.
Edinburgh: John Grant, 1911–12 - 12 volumes, octavo (210 x 137 mm). Near-contemporary red half morocco by Bayntun (Bath) for C. E. Lauriat (Boston), gilt decorated compartments to spines, marbled sides and endpapers, top edges gilt. Spines slightly darkened, couple of hinges starting but overall quite sound. An excellent, well-margined set, very attractively bound. Portrait frontispiece by James Andrews after the drawing by Cassandra Austen with tissue guard to vol. I.
