Brussels, 1874. Fine with slight rubbing to cornrs. A most remarkable binding!. Oblong folio. Title, 5 leaves forward with signatures of all twelve members of the Executive Commission, 25 leaves with alphabetical listings of exhibitors and their specialties. Lithographed throughout on hinged white card stock, all leaves framed in repeating color ornamental frame. Bound by E. Bosquet, Brussels in full dark green morocco with blind stamped foliage borders. Both covers mounted with red morocco nearly the size of the covers and ornately embossed including Greek key borders and other frames in gilt and blind, each of the corners of this piece surmounted with another red leather oval piece bearing different gilt coats-of-arms. Spine with densely gilt red morocco piece the length of the spine, richly gilt dentelles with red watered silk pastedowns and flyleaves, a.e.g. Probably a small limitation for members of the commission. This copy for Louis Janlet, Attache to the Secretary of the Commission, with his name stmped on cover and "Tremoignage de Reconnaissance des Exposants."
