Michael Joseph, London 1953 - 288pp. 7.5 inches. Burgundy buckram, gilt titles. In very good condition, gilt bright, only defect is slight forward lean. Slight sparse foxing to page-edges. Internally, faintly foxed endpapers and faint leaf-shadow, interior clean, no owner's marks. In its original jacket, which is complete, with very little wear, front leaf p/c, very tiny rubs to fold and spine extremities, just faint dark spotting to spine, and the back being white shows light fox-spotting and faint marks giving an overall effect of slight darkening (see photo). Jacket overall unusually vg. Not an exlib book. The classic sf novel drawn from the myth of the dormant sea monster, related as seen through the eyes of a radio scriptwriter.
