Ex library copy. 4to, approximately 280 x 200 mm, 11 x 7½ inches, 5 maps, 4 folding, 14 plates, pages: viii, [1], 1-318, including index, original publisher's cloth, gilt lettering to spine, edges untrimmed. Binding rubbed, spine and covers lightly faded, cover lightly spotted, corners bumped, ink number on verso of title page, no other library marks, small ink splashes in blank margins of list of plates leaf, first free endpaper pasted to pastedown, probably to cover library label, no dustwrapper, otherwise a very good copy. "This posthumous work deals with the geography, topography, ethnology, history, archaeology, botany, zoology and folklore of the Caucasus, chapter 2 deals with the oil fields of Baku", a few pages on Nadir Shah.
