Etching & dry needle on hand laid paper. Description: Lower left: D: Teniers Pinxit. 1649.Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after 'David Teniers'. David Teniers the Younger (1610-1690) was a Flemish artist, born in Antwerp. He was the son of David Teniers the Elder, while his son and grandson also became painters. He was a wildly prolific painter, creating over 900 works. During his life he started the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts, after having presided over the Antwerp guild of painters. Condition: Good, given age. Margins cropped close to the image edge. Light creasing. Several small tears in paper edges. Light staining. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. Storage location: A299-22 The overall size is ca. 13.5 x 9.6 inch. The image size is ca. 13.3 x 9.4 inch. The overall size is ca. 34.2 x 24.5 cm. The image size is ca. 33.8 x 24 cm.
