Charles Scribner's Sons, 1933. Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper in the year of publication (which was also the year in which he died): "To / Eileen, -- / With eternal love, / Pierce. / Feb. 12 1933.". Some general wear and foxing. Unclipped dust jacket is generally worn, with chipping around edges up to 3/4", some foxing/soiling; now protected by a mylar sleeve. Laid in is a newspaper clipping of the author's New York Times obituary from December 4, 1933.. Signed Copy. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/About Good.
