Memoirs of Brigadier-General Gordon Shephard
rivately Printed, 1924 Book. Very Good. Hardcover. A scarce copy of the memoirs of Brigadier General Gordon Shephard. Original source material and fascinating. With a loosely inserted article relating to Shephard's arrest as a spy in Germany. With the ownership signature of a Joan Shepard. As this is a privately printed work, it is likely that this is a relative. Gordon Strachey Shephard was a Royal Flying Corps commander and the highest ranking officer of the flying services to be killed during the First World War. Condition: In a quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing to boards and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and generally clean with light scattered spots. Signature of Joan Shephard to half title. Overall: VERY GOOD.
