- Antique print, titled: 'Gorcum.' - This emblematic print shows a view on Gorinchem, the Netherlands. In the foreground Greek gods including Charon and the 3-headed dog Cerberis. Engraving on wove paper. Description: From: 'Der auf Ordre und Kosten Seines Kaysers reisende Chineser, .', by D. Fassmann, first published periodically in 4 volumes from 1721-1733. A Dutch edition: 'De Reizende Chinees ', was published in Amsterdam, Hendrik Bosch, 1727-1728.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Johann Christop Dehne ' after an anonymous artist. Johann Christop Dehne (German; 1713-1741). Author: David F. Fassmann (1685-1744) was a German author / journalist, historian and publisher. From 1718 to 1739 he published the moral weekly periodical 'Gesprache in dem Reiche derer Todten .'. Condition: Good, given age. Framed and matted. Not inspected outside frame.
