Original blue buckram covers, gilt decorated front cover, gilt title on spine, top edges gilt. Covers a little rubbed, spine lightly sunned. Neat note to previous owner on front endpaper. Frontispiece with repaired closed tears. Colour plate facing page 152 has some scribble but not affecting the illustration. Light foxing, not affecting illustrations. Very good copy of a scarce item. 25.7 x 20. The history of steam navigation in Australian waters, beginning in 1831 with the arrival of the Sophia Jane. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
