- Antique print, titled: 'Herfstmaand.' - (Autumn month = October.) Harvest is in full swing; baskets full of fruit are transported across a river with small rowing boats. A farm in the background. A duck with several young in the right foreground. Etching / engraving on wove paper. Description: From a series of the 12 months, printed in two varieties: one with the names of the months, the other with the descriptive titles of the months. Published ca. 1805-1807. State: State: 2 (2). Ref: Ref: Wurzbach 5.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'I. de Wit Jz.' after 'J. Cats'. Isaac de Wit Jansz. (1744-1809) was an engraver active in Amsterdam and Haarlem. He worked together with J. P. Visser Bender. Condition: Very good, given age. Two original folds, as issued. Lower margin cropped just over the platemark. A tiny tear in the top margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. Storage location: C263-30 The overall size is ca. 10.1 x 7.9 inch. The image size is ca. 7 x 5.6 inch. The overall size is ca. 25.7 x 20.1 cm. The image size is ca. 17.9 x 14.3 cm.
