- Antique Master Print, titled: 'Frederick Henry and Emilia van Solms, Prince and Princess of Orange.' - Double portrait of Govaert van Surpele, mayor of Diest, Belgium and his wife Catharina Coninckx (wrongly identified as Prince Frederick Henry and his wife Amalia van Solms). Mezzotint engraving on wove paper. Description: This print originates from: After a painting in the National Gallery, London. Ref: Hollstein 45 (after Jordaens). Rare. Published by John Boydell in London, 1767.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'J.v. Rymsdyk' after 'Ja. Jordaens'. Jan van Rymsdyk (also Riemsdyk, Remsdyke, died 1790) was a Dutch painter and engraver. Jacob Jordaens (1593-1678) was Flemish Baroque painter. Condition: Good, given age. Small pinholes in the lower left margin corner. A tear in the left and right margin extending a little into the image (closed with contemporary paper and acid-free archival tape). Two chips in the margin with similar restorations. The paper broken on the platemark in the top edge, reinforced with paper and acid-free archival tape to the rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. Storage location: TPC-P3-10 The overall size is ca. 16.9 x 21.3 inch. The image size is ca. 15.9 x 19.9 inch. The overall size is ca. 43 x 54 cm. The image size is ca. 40.5 x 50.5 cm.
