San Francisco: Grabhorn Press, 1935. Folio. (29)pp. One of only 73 copies printed for David Magee by the Grabhorn Press, containing original leaves from each of the first four folio editions of Shakespeare's plays. The leaves included are from: Much Ado About Nothing (pp. 103/4), The Life and Death of King John (pp. 3/4), Romeo and Juliet (pp. 645/6), and Richard the Third (pp. 183/4), from the first through fourth editions, respectively. Further illustrated with facsimiles of the title pages from each edition. In the publisher's binding of brown patterned boards backed in red niger. Corners rubbed, some flaking to spine, which is worn but professionally restored, outer hinge slightly cracked at spine foot. Leaves and contents are fine. A fragile production. Prospectus laid in.
