- Antique print, titled: 'Dans l'Atelier II.' - ('In the workshop 2'). A man is seated on a chair in his atelier, looking at a sculpture in progress. Lithograph on wove paper. Description: "Derriere le Miroir" no. 127, Paris: Maeght, 1961. One of the two double-page lithographs from the DLM issue devoted to Giacometti. Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Alberto Giacometti' after own design. Alberto Giacometti (1901-1966). The Swiss-born Giacometti was a supremely inventive sculptor as well as a painter, printmaker and draftsman of the highest distinction. Alberto attended the Geneva School of Fine Arts. Later he moved to Paris to study under Antoine Bourdelle, where he experimented with Cubism and Surrealism. Among his associates were MirĂ³, Max Ernst, Picasso, Bror Hjorth and Balthus. Condition: Very good, given age. Original middle fold, as issued. A crease in the lower left corner. Text on the rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling.
