First American edition, first printing of Robert Frost's first book ("Aind" on last line of page 14 instead of "And") in a printing of 750 copies. ***DESCRIPTION: Blue linen with gilt rectangle on front enclosing title and author in gilt lettering, gilt lettering and rules on the spine, plain endpapers, publisher's device on title page; pagination: (i)-x, 11-63, followed by statement of printing ("Certain of these poems are reprinted by courteous permission from: -The Forum, The Independent, The Companion"). ***CONDITION: Overall very good+, with a strong, square text block, solid hinges, straight corners with a minimum of rubbing, the interior is clean and bright, and it is entirely free of prior owner markings. The head of the spine has some fraying, the tail of the spine is lightly rubbed, there is moderate fading along edges.
