Black and White illustrations by Melton Prior (special artist in Ashantee of the illustrated London news). Decorative green linen covers with gilt lettering on spine. Dark brown claycote endpapers. 510pp + advertisement. 2 maps intact. An impressive 1882 calligraphy style inked presentation is on the free front endpaper The book is sound, tight and without further writing or marks.
