Contemporary mottled calf, flat spine gilt in compartments, red morocco label, gilt rules to sides and board edges, spot-marbled endpapers. Extremities lightly rubbed, wear on bottom corner, internally fresh. An excellent copy. Second edition, first published in 1772. Poems, consisting chiefly of translations from the Asiatick languages contains poems by Sir William Jones, largely in English and Latin, presenting Middle Eastern themes in a classical style.
