In contemporary full calf, some blind tooling, scratches, corners & edges lightly bumped & worn. Spine, raised bands, some loss at head, joints cracked. Internally, [5], [35], 17-166 pp, lacks map, signatures: [1], A2-B8, B1-L7. Contemp ink name with blue ink line to fpd, and fep, title page within double ruled borders, remainder single ruled, pen & pencil notes to eps. An abridgment of Ogilby's 'Britannia', first published in 1676 as 'Mr. Ogilby's Tables', then as 'Mr. Ogilby's Pocket book of roads', then as 'Ogilby's and Morgan's Pocket book of the roads', then as 'The traveller's pocket-book'. (ESTC T186100. Crowe 69. Worms 462). Title continues: With their computed and measured distances, and the distinction of market and post towns.
