Collection of 180 splendid original b/w photos dating from the 1930's.
Small formats. Some were used as a cutout. Most of these mounted onto colored card stock of various sorts. A.o. a few cyanotypes. l Albert Kuyle, the pseudonym Louis M.A. Kuitenbrouwer (1903-1958) used for his publications, was a fervent Roman Catholic journalist and novelist, who was very active for the publishing company and literary monthly De Gemeenschap around 1930. Kuitenbrouwer was responsible for the design of De Gemeenschap-editions and preferred photographic or photomontage covers. He fostered the art of photography, and these are probably trials to make art photos himself. One photo shows his portrait, and on one his name is mentioned: 'juni '31 foto kuitenbrouwer'.
