The Gregynog Press, Newtown, Montgomeryshire., 1937. First edition thus. Translated by Joan Evans from the French text edited by Natalis de Wailly. Folio. pp [x], 157 + 2 maps drawn by Berthold Wolpe and three genealogical plates. 17 armorial ornaments drawn and engraved by Reynolds Stone and coloured by hand. Initials and headings designed by Alfred J. Fairbank and cut in wood by R. John Beedham, these being printed in red or blue. Printed under the direction of James Wardrop on handmade paper. Full dark brown morocco with raised bands, top edge gilt.Number 76 of 200 copies.Covers very faintly scuffed. Prelims faintly spotted. Near fine. One of the most impressive productions of the press.
