- In three volumes, totalling approximately 1,800 pages, with engraved title page each volume, 68 plates (10 folding, all of which have been linen-backed), index; nineteenth century brown morocco, the spines lettered and decorated in gilt between raised bands, marbled papered boards, rubbed, edges lightly worn; all edges sprinkled red; later (but not recent) endpapers, hinges starting, several mainly small damp stains (mostly to the margins), corners of a few leaves lightly creased, the plates faintly offset, scattered light foxing and soiling; Longman, Hurst, Rees, & Orme, London, 1812. New edition. *Originally published in two volumes in 1801. A \i Supplement volume was published separately in 1813. The first volume covers traditional country sports: hunting foxes, rabbits and hares, martin, badger and otter, etc. Volume II is devoted to fishing, and Volume III to bird shooting (game, water fowl, pigeons and rooks, etc).
