Autograph Manuscript, Signed, "Tho: Fiske" being a "true coppie out of Wenham Towne Books" naming Thomas Fiske as town Clerk
1704. 1 vols. 14 x 5 cm. About fine. 1 vols. 14 x 5 cm. FOREMAN OF THE JURY THAT CONVICTED REBECCA NURSE OF WITCHCRAFT. Known as "the patriarch of the town" of Wenham, Massachusetts, Thomas Fiske (c.1630-1707), served at various times as a representative of the General Court, captain of the Colony forces, town treasurer, deputy of the general court, moderator of town meetings, town clerk, and selectman. He is probably best know, however, as the foreman of the jury that convicted Rebecca Nurse of witchcraft during the infamous Salem witch trials that took place between February 1692 and May 1693.
