London Published by J. Harris Corner of St Paul's Churchyard Dec. 26 1810 - FIRST EDITION 1810 (later issue with paper watermarked 1829), 12mo, 127 x 100 mm, 5 x 4 inches, engraved title page and 15 leaves engraved one side only with a very good amusing hand coloured illustration with a proverb or adage as caption below. In the original pink thin card wraps, with the original printed label on the upper cover on which the abbreviated title has been hand written (as issued). Spine browned and slightly rubbed, tiny rub to corners, 15 mm (¾") crack to upper cover at lower edge in line with stitching, label slightly browned, lower stitch holding the little book firmly but the upper stitch is missing, faint browning to edges of pages, some pale offsetting. A very good bright clean copy. Early issues of this title had a page of letterpress text with a little story facing each illustration.
