Richard Rush's copy. The Committee of Secrecy's reports on the Society of United Irishmen and the rise of similar societies in Great Britain. The societies in England and Scotland are described with accounts of their actions, the arrests and trials and the situations as well as the involvement of the United Irishmen and their relationship with France. On the prospectus for the "Anti-Jacobin Review" William Cobbett in Philadelphia is listed as one of the booksellers, the only bookseller in America listed. ESTC: T86579 Disbound, stitchmarks. Some browning and wear but generally a very good copy with "R.
