This hymn is to Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, and the pochoir illustrations glow with a youth and beauty appropriate to Aphrodite herself.***DESCRIPTION: Bound in ivory Torinoko Gampi paper over a yellow cloth shelfback, yellow cloth fore-edges, gold endpapers, duotone woodcut on the title page, coloured initial capital letter, three full-page, full-color pochoir woodcuts, two duotone woodcuts in addition to the one on the title page and a smaller one on the colophon page; type Bembo, on Somerset Satin paper, designed by Walter Bachinski and Janis Butler, the woodcuts and pochoir illustrations by Walter Bachinski; folio size (approximately 13" tall), unpaginated with 15 leaves total (including illustrations, excluding blanks); limited edition of 100 copies for sale, this no. 33, signed by Janis Butler and Walter Bachinsk on the colophon page.
