Variant or de luxe binding, normally stamped in black, here found stamped in blind. A historical novel of the turbulent 1850's in Kansas Territory. The author treats Free-State and Pro-slavery forces with fairness. The setting of the story is between Topeka and Lawrence. Dary 215, Wright III 2865.
