Finely bound by Bumpus in dark blue crushed morocco, titles and elaborate decoration to spine gilt separated by raised bands, multiple fillets with cornerpieces gilt to boards and turn-ins, cream endpapers, gilt edges. Minor spotting to endpapers, neat contemporary gift inscription in ink to verso of front free endpaper and two verses taken from St. John written on the binder's front blank, feint whitening to boards, an excellent copy. With 98 watercolor illustrations after William Hole. A particularly handsome copy.
