London for E.Curll and sold by A.Baldwin 1713 - Second edition, 4to., some light paper ageing, 21, (7)pp., disbound. Joseph Addison's play 'Cato' had enormous success prompting a number of pamphlets capitalising on that success. George Sewell (d. 1726) a hack writer for Edward Curll wrote two pamphlets (1713 & 1716) on Addison's play, (this the earlier), with many of his remarks being in verse form. A separately written poem by him 'Upon Mr. Addison's Cato' is included towards the end of the pamphlet. Arnott & Lowe 3818.
