Illustrated with a frontispiece, 3 maps, textual illustrations and plates in the first volume. Very good. First edition.From the library of Donald H. Reiman, signed by him on the front endpaper of each volume with the following note penned by him in the first volume: "Donald H. Reiman / 4 January 1988 / for reading a MS for Oxford University Press". Each volume is additionally annotated by Reiman, with yellow highlighting, underlining in red and with marginal annotations in his hand in pencil and red ink throughout.The noted Shelley scholar Donald H. Reiman was co-editor of "Shelley and His Circle". Reiman wrote, edited (or co-edited) approximately 200 volumes of literary criticism and was the general editor of the "Manuscripts of the Younger Romantics" and "The Bodleian Shelley Manuscripts" among many other works. He was a founder of the Byron Society of America and of the Wordsworth-Coleridge Association, and several other literary societies. His rare book collection is in a special collection of the University of Delaware Library.
