REIMAN, SIGNED BY HIM WITH HIS ANNOTATIONS & ADDITIONALLY INSCRIBED BY THE EDITOR BETTY T. BENNETT. - Octavo, three volumes uniformly bound in light blue cloth titled in gilt within a dark blue panel on the spines, in light blue dust wrappers titled in black with an oval portrait on the front panels. There is a tear to the front fold of the first volume's dust jacket with some minor chipping to the top edge. The second volume's jacket has a tear and chipping to the top front corner and tiny tears and creases along the top edge. The top and bottom edges of the third volume's jacket are chipped with some short tears. xlv, [iii], 591 & [1] pages; lii, [ii], 360 & [1] pages; and li, [iii], 473 & [1] pages. Each volume illustrated with a frontispiece and a few full-page illustrations. Very good. First editions.From the library of Donald H. Reiman, signed by him on the front endpaper of the first 2 volumes. The third volume is inscribed to Reiman by the editor Betty T. Bennett, and signed "Betty" on the half-title of that volume with an additional autograph note signed by her on "The American University" stationery. Each volume is additionally annotated by Reiman, with underlining in red and marginal annotations in his hand in pencil and blue & red ink.The noted Shelley scholar Donald H. Reiman was co-editor of "Shelley and His Circle". Reiman wrote, edited (or co-edited) approximately 200 volumes of literary criticism and was the general editor of the "Manuscripts of the Younger Romantics" and "The Bodleian Shelley Manuscripts" among many other works. He was a founder of the Byron Society of America and of the Wordsworth-Coleridge Association, and several other literary societies. His rare book collection is in a special collection of the University of Delaware Library.
