This rare illustrated book of poetry was published in the DP camp Lienz in Austria by Slovenian Refugee Press. - This rare book with poems and illustrations was printed by a Slovenian Refugee Press a year after WWII in a DP camp by Lienz in Austria. The thematic of poetry includes post war motives, such as fefugees, orphans, memories of the homeland and loved ones left behind. The author Fran?ek Kolari? published two books with poetry in the refugee camp in Lienz. The Lienz/Peggetz DP camp was a British run camp for refugees, the so called White Guards, who escaped Yugoslavia in the days after WWII and were waiting to be transported to other locations, mostly to South America, by the Catholic church. The Lienz/Peggetz DP camp received bad reputation already at the May 1945, when the British army handed over Cossacks and ethnic Russians and Ukrainians, who had collaborated with Nazi Germany, to the USSR, where they were assassinated. We could trace two examples of the book in libraries worldwide (National and University Library, Ljubljana and Slovene National and Study Library, Trieste). References: OCLC 443593309.
