Contemporary bindings: halfmorocco with morocco cornerpieces; spines blindstamped, with ribbons, gilt title on spines; covers with marbled paper (sl. damage to the margins, on some places loosening (ribbed), mainly towards the upper edge); marbled endpapers. (Tops and feet spines sl. dam., small tears at hinges). (vi)pp. and 119 engraved plates; (vi)pp. and 121 engraved plates. The plates depicting views, plans and sections of buildings designed by this famous architect. The whole printed by Félix Pepermans. - Vol. 1: 3 leaves and 12 buildings on 119 plates: 'Station de Tournai'(22),'Église à Mozat'(18), 'Musée d'Armures..'(15), 'École à Soignies'(4), 'Château de Faulx'(19), ' - à Chaudfontaine'(5), '- à Leeuw'(4), etc. Vol. 2: 3 leaves and 7 buildings on 121 plates: 'Banque à Anvers'(35), 'Douane à Tournai'(17), 'Square Petit Sablon'(10), 'Château Wespelaer'(37), 'Ministère Chemins de Fer'(9), etc. - Some plates partly waterstained (yellowtoned), but on the whole a good set in solid bindings.
