Peace Press, Los Angeles 1971 - Very bold screen print poster produced by the unique California political collective and print shop, the Peace Press (1967 - 1987), which created materials for such anti-war groups as the Students for a Democratic Society, the Vietnam Day Committee, and the Resistance. Founded by the activist Jerry Palmer who put together a small press and included community members, teaching them the necessary printing and production skills; serving clients such as the Women's Strike for Peace, the Black Panthers, Chicano Moratorium, Free Angela Davis Committee, Teamsters United, Malcolm X Committee, and many more. Unsigned. Vibrant violet, yellow ochre & white, with the words in a bubble over the head of an angry looking man's head. 15 x 22 1/4". Very good condition.
