Now Playing at Canterbury [Uncorrected Galleys]
New York: The Dial Press, 1976. NOTE: This is the scarce "Uncorrected Galleys" edition with 581 hand-numbered pages -- NOT the relatively common "Special Advance Paperbound Edition" that has just over 500 numbered-in-type pages. SEE PHOTOS. INSCRIBED to Dick Wiley and SIGNED by the AUTHOR on the front cover. Very Good condition (wraps a little faded). 1976. Uncorrected galley proofs of the first edition. Padbound in the original blue printed wraps, with a green mesh cloth spine. 5.5" wide by 9" tall. Richard (Dick) Wiley (author of SOLDIERS IN HIDING, a PEN/Faulkner Award winner) attended the 1975-76 Iowa Writers' Workshop, along with Jane Simley, John Givens, Richard Bausch, and Meredith Steinbach, among others. One of the teachers there was Vance Bourjaily. Perhaps it was at that time and place that Bourjaily inscribed this book for Wiley.. INSCRIBED / SIGNED by the AUTHOR. First Edition, Uncorrected Galleys. Softcover. Very Good condition. (xiv), 581pp. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping.
