Boriswood London 1936 - 8vo. Special edition. #2 of 30 numbered copies signed by the author. Printed in October 1936. Original orange buckram lettered in gilt on the spine and upper board. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Handmade paper, partially unopened. Spine and edges slightly faded and rubbed. Contents clean. Near fine. Roy Campbell (1901-1957) had been living in Toledo with his wife but, as British citizens, they were evacuated to Marseille in August 1936 to escape the civil war. A few weeks later they were back in England but left for Portugal in January 1937. In June that year, Campbell returned to Spain as a war correspondent with the Republican forces.
