London John Lane The Bodley Head 1930 - 8vo., frontispiece and eleven full-page plates, decorative vignettes and initials by Henry Keen, contemporary inscribed Bodley Head compliment slip loosely inserted, publisher's printed and decorated buckram, gilt, top edge coloured blue, others untrimmed, similarly decorated dust-jacket in black, spine evenly faded as usual, a little rubbed with two small chips to base, otherwise a fine copy. John Webster (C.1577 -1634), English Jacobean dramatist best known for his tragedies The White Devil (1612) and The Duchess of Malfi (1614), regarded as masterpieces of the early 17th century English stage.
