Henry Holt and Company, New York 1942 - First edition in brownish red cloth, stamped in blue on the spine and cover, top edge stained light brown, rough trimmed fore and bottom edges, jacket art by Boris Artzybasheff. The protagonist finds himself in an Old English Fairyland. Inscribed in blue ink on the first free end paper: "Best regards to Sam - / From L Sprague de Camp" Originally from the Sam Moskowitz library. New York: Henry Holt and Company (1942), 260 pages + 18 pages of The Incomplete Enchanter at rear. A Fine copy unmarked (except for the inscription) with some toning to end papers. Near Fine protected jacket is unclipped ($2.50) has some small imperfections and some sun fading to spine. [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy; Hard Cover]
