George Virtue, 1111. Hardcover. Acceptable. No dust jacket. Brown embroidered cloth boards, half bound in red leather with gilt decoration and lettering. 42 plates engraved under superintendence of Mr Charles Heath. Some internal hinge cracking, pages remain tight, fep is coming away from binding. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with some creased corners and foxing. Plates are bright, with some foxing to edges. Water marks to page edges and corners. Shadowing from plates to text pages. Boards are moderately rub worn, with some noticeable shelf wear to spine, edges and corners, corners are bumped. Embroidery is missing in places and a little worn. cloth is also peeling away towards bottom of front board. With some light splits and chips to spine ends. Leather corners are chipped. Water marks to edges and corners.
