Fredric Brown (1906-1972) was a prolific author of pulp fiction novels and short stories in both the mystery and science fiction genres. It was Fredric Brown's short stories for which he was most notable, particularly with other authors who recognized his genius. He was the master of the unexpected twist, the paradox as it were. Many of his stories explored the offbeat, experimenting with the written word and pushing it as far as possible. Fredric Brown was awarded the 1947 Edgar Award for Best First Mystery with The Fabulous Clipjoint (from Pulp Fiction Mysteries). Dennis MacMillan Publishing assembled all of Fredric Brown's crime short stories from the pulps into a 19 volume series of beautifully crafted books. A complete collection of Dennis MacMillan titles are scarce. All titles FINE in FINE jackets. Size: Octavo [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy; Hard Cover]
